The tallest statue of Dr Baba Saheb Ambedkar was launched by his grand Son Prakash Ambedkar here today in Hyderabad in front of the state secretariat on the banks of Hussain Sagar in front of the CM K Chandrasekhar Rao.
Flowers were showered from the helicopter on the statue. The Buddhists Gurus felicitated CM with a Buddha idol and the same was given to Koppula Eshwar by CM.
All the Ministers and lawmakers of BRS paid rich tributes to Ambedkar here today on the eve of his birthday. Later all of them visited the Ambedkar Museum and photo exhibition.
Prakash Ambedkar was felicitated by CM here on the occasion. Speaking on the occasion Prakash Ambedkar said that he was complimenting the CM KCR on behalf of the people.
He has started a new awakening against the oppression of the downtrodden said Prakash. It is a different kind of celebration here he stated.
This is a spark lighted by KCR and it will ignite further he explained.
This will bring in a sea change in society he opined. He thanked KCR for trying to put the country in the right direction. He also complimented the Telangana Government for giving various welfare schemes for the people.
Stabilizing value of rupee is very important he said. The CM should look into this he suggested. He complimented CM for giving Rs 10 lakh to dalits.
Ambedkar suggested that Hyderabad should be the second capital of the country.
