On the last day of the Monsoon Session, today the Chief Minister KCR has reportedly decided to take Opposition parties to task on various issues and the Governor, for withholding her assent to introduce the TSRTC Merger Bill.

CM Chandrashekar Rao is expected to speak for two to three hours, taking on Opposition parties, answering his critics, and announcing more sops before giving a clarion call to the people of the state to ensure his ‘hat-trick’ in the upcoming polls.

KCR had attended the opening of the Assembly session on the first day for an hour to pay homage to the recently deceased BRS MLA G. Sayanna but did not attend after that.

The BRS boss will also hold a group photo session with MLAs after the House adjourns indefinitely on Sunday since this will be the last session for the Legislative Assembly in this tenure of 2018-2023, before the state goes to polls later this year.

BRS sources expect the Election Commission of India to issue the poll notification in October and hold the elections in November.

There are also media reports that the election will be on December 7.
