KCR expresses sympathy to family members of Kolluri

Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao expressed his condolences over the death of Dr Kolluri Chiranjeevi, one of the first separate Telangana statehood movement’s activists.

The CM said Chiranjeevi’s life is ideal for society, as he, who was a qualified Doctor lived for the wellbeing of society.

The CM conveyed his condolences to members of the bereaved family.

Dr Kolluri Chiranjeevi who fought for Telangana State during the 1969 movement, passed away at a private hospital after a brief illness. He was 74.

A native of Warangal, he played active role in th 1969 Telangana movement and fought as a student leader while pursuing his MBBS from Kakatiya Medical College.

Later, he also served as convener of Telangana Movement Founders Forum in 1969.

TRS working president and minister KT Rama Rao, Ministers T Harish Rao, Eatala Rajender and several other Telangana activists also expressed their condolences.

The State government had recently extended Rs 10 lakh financial support for the treatment of Dr Chiranjeevi.
