KCR condoles Karnads death

Popular Actor Writer and playwright Girish Karnad died in Bangalore on Monday. Karnard was 81. He wrote the first play, the critically acclaimed Yayati in 1961. The was centred on the story of the mythological king, and the play established karnads use of the themes of history and mythology.

Karnads next play, Tughlaw was written in 1964. This tells the story of the 14nth century Sultan Mohammed Bin Tughlaw and remains among the best known of his works.

KCR condoles Karnads death

Chief Minister Chandrashekhar Rao has expressed his deep condolences on the demise of noted Kannada writer, Director, Theatre artist Padma Sri & Padma Bhushan Girish Karnad.

The CM said that the contributions made by Girish Karnad in the field of literature, theatre, film have attained international fame. The CM has conveyed his heartfelt condolences to the members of the bereaved family.
