Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao attending the Bonalu festival at Mahankali temple in Secunderabad. KCR was with wife and MP Santosh Kumar paid respects to the Mahankali . Minister Srinivas Yadav, Mayor Bonthu Rammohan were also present along with the Chief Minister at the temple.
The purohits blessed KCR and others here in the Temple. They were taken into the sanctum sanctorum. The people who came to the Mahakali Temple greeted KCR with a victory sign and he also greeted them with folded hands.
It is a tradition here in Hyderabad that the chief Minister attends the Bonalu jathara at the Mahankali temple.
Bonalu jathara will be performed in Ashada masam in most of the temples here in Hyderabad.Golkonda is the area where the Bonalu begins and it spreads across the city in all the temples and it is done on Sunday. Sunday is Bonalu and Monday is rangam. Minister Srinivas Yadav is like a permanent to guest to all the temples in Hyderabad and Secunderabad.
Mahankali Temple is the place where he is prominently seen and dances to the tunes of teen mar and with the potharajus.
