KCR appoints committee to probe land grabbing

The government have received several complaints about large scale encroachments and illegal transactions of lands belonging;’io Sri Seetha Rama swamy temple located at Devarayamjal village, Medchal District.

The Endowment Department ls claiming that an extentof 1521 acres 13 guntas belongs to the said temple’

2. A couple of vernacular newspapers in their daily edition dated 2nd May 2021 have extensively reported the encroachment or in salo temple lands by Shri Etela- Rajender, former Minister and few other individuals Its ” Report” that these individuals have unlawfully occupied large extents of the temple lands in their o*n-nurn”, as well as in Benami names. It is reported that the value of the land encroached the temple has been defrauded of such high-value properties. It has also been reported that large constructions have been made on these lands without any valid permission; violation of several laws’ Besides gravely hurting the sentiments of the devotees unit. it is alleged that these actions constitute grave violations of several laws in force’

3. Government, after careful examination of the above issues, hereby order a detailed enquiry

into this issue by a Committee of Officers with the following composition :

3. Smt Bharati Hollikari IAS’,
4. Smt Swetha Mohanty Medchal-Malkajgiri Dlstrict (FAC) – Member
IV. The above team shall conduct a detailed enquiry and submit a report on the following:-
i. The details of the encroachers and the land encroached upon
ii. The nature of encroachment and the present usage
iii. fine details of documents possessed by these encroachers
iv. The details of permissions if any issued by any Government body
v. Violations of existing Government regulations
vi. The extent of vacant land
vii. The extent of thing under encroachment by the benamis and the influential persons
behind them
viii. Extent of revenue loss to the Temple
ix. Recommended Action
5. The Committee shall submit a report to the Government at the earliest.
