K Kavitha tweeted that it was BJP which has instigated Sharmila for the protest. It may be recalled that Kishan Reddy and the BJP Chief Bandi Sanjay have condemned the arrest of a lady and the ill-treatment meted to her during the padayatra.
How can they stop the lady and arrest her they questioned. This has promoted the BJP leaders to say that it was the BJP who was behind the Sharmila protest.
They are also of the opinion that the BJP has fielded Sharmila in the form of YSRTP against the TRS for the division of the votes in the state of Telangana for the coming elections.
The Governor expressed anguish at the way Sharmila was arrested and expressed concern about her safety and health condition. The visuals of towing away of her car, when she was inside the car, were disturbing.”
Governor Tamilisai added as “Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan stated that whatever may be the political background or ideology women leaders need to be treated in a more dignified and respectful way. Women cadres & women leaders need to be treated in a more dignified & respectful way in such situations.”
The people in general also found that it was unbecoming on the part of police to two away Sharmila in her own vehicle and drag her on the road.
Sharmila gained a lot of sympathy yesterday and there is no doubt about it.
