Nizamabad MP K kavitha and RS member Joginapally Santosh Kumar today launched the Jeevan Daan program on the eve of the Chief Minister KCRs birthday here in Hyderabad. The idea is to create awareness among the public to see that they donate the organs. The program was organised in collaboration with Jagruthi, T News and Namasthe Telangana. The organ donation can save many lives said that speakers. Former Minister Srinivas Yadav, Musheerabad MLA Mutha Gopal. MLA Kranthi Kiran, T News Ceo Narayan Reddy, Katta Sekhar Reddy from Namasthe Telangana also participated in the program.
The speakers also talked about the blood donation program. They said that one need not bother about the blood and that comes after 120 days fresh and the people who donate blood should not bother about the loss of blood.
Many doctors also participated in the program. Before the program started, the leaders and the audience maintained a 2-minute silence as a mark of respect for the martyrs who died in the Pulwama explosion. Later they took the pledge for the Jeevan Daan program.
Some speakers opined that even though people want to donate organs, they do not know whom to call and offer the same. Proper address and contact should be advertised for the organ donation they opined. The leaders and doctors assured that importance would be given to advertising the numbers and locations for the organ donation in future. The program was done on the birthday of K Chandrasekhar Rao the Telangana CM. It was like a collaboration of the media and governance for the well being of the human being.
