TRS MP & Jagruthi President Kavitha launched Telangana Association of United Kingdom (TAUK)’s “London- Chenetha Bathukamma and Dasara” celebrations poster at Hyderabad.
MP Kavitha congratulated and extended her best wishes for this year event, and appreciated the efforts of TAUK in promoting Telangana culture globally and especially unique way of celebrating state festivals to support weavers community.
TAUK President Pavithra Kandi spoke to media over the phone and said, TAUK is always in support of the Government especially for any initiative taken to support the poor and needy, like supporting weavers. As a responsible NRIs we have made this event as “Chenetha Bathukamma & Dasara” encouraging everyone to wear and support handloom weavers in every occasion, either it is social or personal. She thanked MP Kavitha for her continuous support to TAUK.
TAUK Founder Anil Kurmachalam said, TRS MP is our true inspiration who globalised this bathukamma festival and today it is been celebrated every corner of the world, all the credit to Kavitha. He thanked her for the generous support and encouragement to all the TAUK activities and especially for poster launch.
Also said, Joining Minster KTRs concern and vision to uplift the weaver community, with his inspiration and appeal, we are trying our best to support them in a possible way, Chenetha Bathukamma is one of such events inspired by KTR vision towards weavers community.
