Kavitha the MLC of BRS and the daughter of KCR the former CM was granted bail in the liquor case. She will come back to Hyderabad by this evening by a special flight along with Harish Rao, KTR and others.
It is an unconditional bail they say. The bail was given as she is not doing well with bad health conditions. As there was no evidence of a money transfer, she was given bail.
She was in jail for more than 5 months.
Senior BRS leaders, including party working president KT Rama Rao and a group of MLAs, landed in the national capital as they anticipated MLC K Kavitha getting bail in the Delhi Liquor Policy case, which has come up for hearing in the Supreme Court on Tuesday.
The BRS leaders are hopeful of Kavitha getting bail. Several MLAs,including KTR and T Harish Rao, have landed in Delhi. It is said that they would receive Kavitha from the Tihar jail.
She has been in jail for the last five and a half months in the now-scrapped Delhi Liquor Policy case. She was arrested by the ED from her residence in Hyderabad on March 15 and produced in court on March 1.
The bail was not given as she was a woman. She was an MP and now an MLC the judge opined. As there was no scope for an immediate tria Kavitha was granted the bail.
