MP Kavitha from TRS is going to Vijayawada for attending National Womens parliament at Pavitrasangaman in Amaravathi of Andhra Pradesh. She will be speaking about the womens empowerment in the evening session it is reported.
Kavitha will also go to Kanakadurga temple in Vijayawada and offer prayers. Women and girls from various sections of the society will be participating here in this seminar and expressing their views on the development of women.
Dalai Lama will be inaugurating the womens parliament meet here. He has already landed in Amaravathi. Kavitha clarified that it is one day tour an no politics behind this trip. As a women MP she is participating in this event for expressing her views on the development of women in particular.
The Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly in association with MAEER’s MIT School of Government, Pune would be organising a ‘National Women’s Parliament -2017’ for three days from February 10 at Amaravati, the state’s permanent capital city. All women Members of Parliament and Legislative Assemblies of all states in the country, along with over 10,000 girl students from colleges of higher education would participate in the deliberations.
The National Women’s Parliament (NWP) would be a common and non-political platform for women from diverse background like politics, education, sports, industry, media, cinema, arts and culture, judiciary and young aspiring girl students to share their experiences and knowledge in the area of women’s social economic and political empowerment,
Nepal President Bidya Devi Bhandari, Myanmar leader Aung San Suu kyi, American businesswoman and philanthropist Melinda Gates, Indra Nooyi and Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Haseena, he said. Liberia President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, Dalai Lama, Union Ministers M Venkaiah Naidu, Nirmala Sitharaman, Smriti Irani, Delhi High Court Chief Justice G Rohini, sports personalities Sachin Tendulkar and PV Sindhu have confirmed their participation,.
