Nizamabad MP Kavitha while supporting the bill against the Human trafficking said that the Government did not bother much about the missing of about one lakh children since 2016. The offenders are not punished as the cases are taking years and years to get resolved she said.
Making a point in the parliament she welcomed the idea of prosecution via video conferencing and keeping the girl’s information a secret.
She said that every 8 minutes there is a new of this missing girl and that they are sent by trafficking into prostitution. The offenders must be brought to book and this trafficking has to be reduced and arrested Kavitha suggested.
She was happy that the Government was bringing in a law to prevent the human trafficking and punish the offenders.
Strict laws should be implemented to arrest this trafficking issue she said. Kavitha who spoke for about 10 minutes said that there was every need to ensure the security of the girl child and also the women in general and that the policing should be improved she suggested.
She blamed the government for not taking enough steps in ensuring the safety of girls. She added that transgenders were also involved in the human trafficking. Kavitha wanted the laws to be enacted and implemented at the earliest so that the trafficking comes to an end.
