Yes Katamarayudu is a copy. We do not know if the hero Pawan Kalyan knows about it or not. We also dont know if the controversial director Ramgopal Varma is observing it.
The poster of Pawan Kalyan standing with his back on lungi is a copy. It is a copy from the poster of Mohan babus cinema Rowdy. Incidentally RGV is the director for Rowdy which did good business where Mohan Babu and Jayasudha danced in a song.
RGV and Mega family are fighting on twitter, if RGV knows that the first poster of Pawan was copied from his rowdy, he will never keep quite. He will make sever comments on the twitter against Pawan and his director or designer.
Earlier Pawan talked about RGVs Porn addiction and RGV talked about Pawans 3 wifes. The situation is murky between them. If RGV knows or sees Katamarayudu then he will criticise Pawan for sure.

Even the so called master director Trivikram Srinivas also copies some scenes from English movies. Even Mani Ratnam and RGV play around Godfather movie all the time. Great director Sankar also copies from beauty and the beast. Jayam made by Teja was a copy from Seethakoka Chiluka of Bharati Raja. Complete movie was a copy with some changes here and there.
So copying in India is common.
