M Karunanidhi was the one of the most sworn in CM in the history. He was five-time chief Minister of the state. But Nitish Kumar and Jayalalithaa were sworn in for 6 times each.
Karunanidhi never contested for Loksabha seat, never aspired for a role in New Delhi. When the media asked Karunanidhi to be the Prime Ministerial candidate, he replied that he was fully aware as to how tall he was.
At that time Moopanar was also aiming for the post of the PM.
But physically Karunanidhi was not a tall man. But he was very tall in his deeds and words. He did as the president for the DMK for more than 50 years. The crowd goes into raptures whenever he speaks.
He always used to say you Tamil people are more than my life. After Jayalalithaa, the political vacuum becomes more and more with the death of Karunanidhi.
His son Stalin is all set to step into the shoes of Karunanidhi but will they fit him or will they bite him has to be seen.
