Kareena Khan is in news for everything these days. Perhaps she is the woman who has made pregnancy period as a celebration. But she is not happy with some questions. Some on asks here will she work during this time. Some on else will ask if it is a boy or a girl. She does not like such type of questions.
Kareena, who was present at the Global Citizen India campaign launch held in Mumbai, the actress shared the questions she has been bombarded with ever since her pregnancy. One of those questions is, ‘Is it a boy or a girl?’, which upsets the actress.
“Wherever I go these days, there’s just one question asked, which I think is quite intrusive but still I am asked, both me and Saif: ‘Is it a boy or is it a girl? Have you found out?’ and I am like, ‘Excuse me? What difference does it make?’
I am a girl child. I would love to have a girl. What is the difference? I think I have done probably more for my parents and my family than a son would,” said Kareena.
Living in a nation where people ask a woman if she is going to stop working after marriage or child birth is something that disturbs the actress.
She added, “Firstly, this is very intrusive and at this point, I don’t think you should be asking me this question. But coming back to it, I think we are still in a nation where we have been asked, ‘Oh, you’re getting married! Are you still going to work? Oh, you’re having a child! Are you still going to work?’ These questions upset me.”
