Karan Johar the mega director and producer was in Hyderabad at the Sudershan theatre for the promotion of his movie Liger with Vijay Devarakonda as the hero.
Talking to Ranveer who came for the promotion of Liger in Mumbai, Karan said that he was surprised to see the way fans greeted them in Hyderabad with band Baja and baarat.
He was right in investing with a South director and also a hero. Karan is sure that the South is all set to rule the film world in India. Baahbali, Vikram, KGF shows that.
So it is better for the directors to go for the subjects which appeal to the national audience so that they can earn more at the box office. That is the reason people like Ramayana and Mahabharata in various formats.
They have been seeing the same stories for decades but in different forms. The audience is not ready to accept the same old stories in the name of Salman and Chiranjeevi.
They want real and appealing stuff with the right elements of the direction and also the music. Let’s hope Liger does well at the box office across the country.
