On April 28, 2017, we will finally know why Katappa killed Baahubali, as Baahubali’s much-awaited second part is slated to release on that day.
Karan Johar, through Dharma Productions, has acquired the rights to the second part of the Baahubali franchise and will be releasing the film’s Hindi version once again. Karan, alongside distributor Anil Thadani, had also marketed the prequel earlier.
Karan himself took to Twitter to break the news and announce the release date of Baahubali: The Conclusion. “Dharma Productions and AA films are honored and proud to associate once again with the genius @ssrajamouli’s vision. @BaahubaliMovie The Conclusion releases on the 28th of April 2017@arkamediaworks @Shobu_ #Prasad @dharmamovies,” Karan wrote.
Confirming the same, producer Shobhu Yarlagadda, too, tweeted, “We are very happy to associate again with @karanjohar @DharmaMovies & Anil Thadani of AA films for the Hindi release of @BaahubaliMovie 2.”
Earlier, Karan had released the big-budget Baahubali with the fanfare it deserved, helping the movie with promotions and in-depth interviews, something that played a major role in the film’s box office success.
Back then, it was Rana Daggubatti who mentioned S.S. Rajamouli’s name to Karan and the director hopped on board as the movie’s presenter. Now, Karan will be presenting the second part of the film as well.
