Veteran Kannada actor and husband of Sumalatha Telugu actor has died due to a heart attack. He was 66 and was in the hospital. He died in the early hours of Sunday it is reported. It was a massive cardiac arrest the doctors told.
He was brought to the hospital as he was having a breathing problem. He has a son Abhishek. Karnataka chief Minister Deve Gowda expressed his sympathy on the death of Ambareesh. Sumalatha his wife is known in Telugu film industry.
Ambareesh has a unique space both in films and politics. The Government is arranging special buses for the fans to pay last respects to Ambareesh. Ambareesh was a cabinet Minister in the Congress government. In the earlier elections, Ambareesh was given a seat by Congress, but he declined to contest on health grounds. He made it clear that he will not be able to do justice.
