The stage is set for Kamalnath the senior Congress leader to take over as the CM of Madhya Pradesh. The Congress party has wrested the state from BJP. He will take over on 17nth.
The Congress which fell two short for the majority was supported by the BJP and the power is in the Congress hands. There will be a post of Deputy Chief Minister also it is reported.
Kamlanth is a 9 time MP and 72 years old. He is close to Rahul Gandhi is also the President MPCC. He has also served as the Union Minister for some time. Kamalanth has become the CM, but he will be having a tough time as the General elections are fast approaching.
The MP elections will be in April May 2019 and this will be an acid test for him. MP and UP states play the crucial role in electing the PM of the country.
