Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan are two eyes of the Tamil film industry. They made news all the time and what ever they say it becomes news here .
Nobody can stir up a controversy like actor-filmmaker Kamal Haasan. While talking to a section of media at the trailer launch of Tamil Bigg Boss, which he will be hosting, Haasan said that no rational person will ever think of joining politics. “People should realize that politics is not a place to earn money.
The situation in Tamil Nadu is such that, no ration person should take political plunge, not even actors.” On being asked when he would take the political plunge, Haasan pointed out that he entered politics at the age of 21, the day his finger was inked.
“I joined politics when I was 21, the day I put a dot on this finger. I’ve been in politics since then. But I don’t fight for the competitive politics and I decide who should and who should not come in politics,” he said.
Does he support his best friend and superstar Rajinikanth’s recent comments on the state of politics in Tamil Nadu, Haasan said, “He didn’t say anything wrong or new.” On being asked if only a Tamilian should lead Tamil Nadu.
The Ekduje ke Liye star said, “We have had leaders like Gandhi, Nehru and Bose. Were they Tamilians? Weren’t they accepted? There are people in the south who have named their children after these leaders. People in Kerala think I’m a Malayali, but I can’t use that as an excuse to contest for CM’s post there.”
