Actor Kamal Hasan who announced that he is considering a political career will meet Arvind Kejriwal for lunch today. The Delhi Chief Minister flew down to Chennai just two days after his return to Delhi following a meditation break in Maharashtra.
The two will have closed-door “political discussions” at the actor’s office in Chennai, say sources in Mr Kejriwal’s Aam Aadmi Party (AAP). Kamal Haasan had last met the AAP chief in 2015 to discuss a film shoot in Delhi.
Kejriwal is in Chennai with four other AAP leaders and will return this evening. “The current state of national politics will be discussed,” a source close to the Chief Minister said, adding that the two have been in touch over the past two years and share a “mutual respect”.
This is the second Chief Minister that the 67-year-old actor is meeting afterKeralas Pinarayi Vijayan.
