The annual Brahmotsavam will be held from May 21 to 29.
It is customary to conduct Koil Alwar Tirumanjanam before the Brahmotsavams.
In this, the premises of the temple, walls, roof, puja utensils etc. are cleansed with water.
After that, holy water mixed with spices such as namakopu, Srichurnam, musk turmeric, pachchaku, camphor, sandalwood powder, saffron, kichiligadda etc. called Parimalam will be smeared throughout the temple.
Later, the devotees are allowed for darshan from 1:30pm onwards. The 294th birth anniversary celebrations of Matrushri Tarigonda Vengamamba will be celebrated in Tirumala on May 22.
Also observed at Vengamamba’s birthplace in Tarigonda besides Tirumala and Tirupati.
As part of it, Pushpanjali will be offered at Vengamamba Vrindavanam in Tirumala on May 22 at 4.30 pm.
At 5.30 in the evening, Srivaru along with Ubhayanancharulu will take a procession through the streets to reach Sri Padmavathi Venkateswara Parinayotsava Mandapam in Narayangiri Gardens in, Tirumala.
