Ajay Kallam the senior IAS officer filed a petition against the CBI stating that he was falsely quoted in the charge sheet pertaining to the murder of former MP Vivekananda Reddy.
Ajay Kallam emphasized that he never mentioned the names of Jagan’s wife or others during the CBI investigation. The CBI has labeled all the charges in the charge sheet as false.
Ajeya Kallam’s petition aims to have the High Court consider his plea and strike out the inaccuracies present in the charge sheet, which were misattributed to him.
After retiring as Chief Secretary, Ajeya Kallam was appointed as the Chief Advisor to the Government by the Andhra Pradesh Government. It was reported that his annual salary in this position is up to 30 lakhs.
However, despite his high salary and prominent role as the Chief Advisor to Chief Minister Jagan, he allegedly faced neglect. Nevertheless, Ajeya Kallam’s tenure was extended again on the 15th of the previous month.
We have to see if the CBI has the recording of Kallam who is now saying that he was quoted wrong and he never mentioned the name of Bharathi to the CBI in particular.
Earlier one of the accused filed a suit against the CBI officer in this case. Now this is the second petition against the CBI.
Somehow the CBI is unable to nail the culprits in this case and get a breakthrough in the case. The murder was done before the earlier elections.
The court has also set a deadline for coming to a conclusion on this issue. But still, the case is getting dragged in different directions.
