Kabaddi player shoot out goes viral on the web

A video of the shoot out in Punjab is going viral on the web. It was an open shootout on a Kabbadi player when he was in a tournament.

International Kabbadi player Sandeep Nangal was shot dead by unidentified assailants during a Kabaddi Cup in a Malian village in Jalandhar.

It has been learnt that around 20 rounds were fired at his head and chest.

He was 40. Sandeep used to organise Kabaddi tournaments from time to time.

Sandeep was immediately rushed to a hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead.

Police said when Sandeep came out of the tournament site at Mallian Khurd village in Nakodar, four men opened fire on him. They suspect eight to 10 bullets were pumped into the Kabaddi player.

Jalandhar (Rural) Deputy Superintendent of Police (Nakodar) Lakhwinder Singh said the player comes from Nangal Ambiyan village in Shahkot, but was settled in England and is a British citizen.
