Rajini essays the role of an underworld don ruling Mumbai that is what media says about Kaala. But the director of film says it is not about any don. The son of Haji Masthan has already warned the film unit that he would go to court and stall the movie if his father is portrayed as a don or a smuggler.
Kaala the film produced by Dhanush is going to be released in Telugu, Hindi along with Tamil. Kabali director PA Ranjith is helming the film while Bollywood actress Huma Qureshi plays Rajini’s love interest in the film. Santhosh Narayanan, who composed music for Kabali, is going to score music for Kaala as well. The film has an interesting tagline – Karikalan, means the King.

The latest we hear is that a staggering set worth Rs 5 Crore is erected in Chennai for Rajini’s new film “Kaala” that rolled onto floors on Sunday in Mumbai.
A special set of Dharavi slum in Mumbai is being erected in Chennai that said to have costed Rs 5 Crore. The set would look so real as if it is replica of Mumbai’s Dharavi, considered as Asia’s largest slum. A major chunk of the film is going to be shot in the set.
Since a few general shots in realistic locales of Mumbai are required for the film, Rajini has left to Mumbai from Chennai on Saturday evening. Rajini has begun shooting for the film in Mumbai backdrop for a few scenes after which he will return to Chennai where the film will have a week-long schedule. Overall the film is generating a lot of hungama.
