KIdambi was also part of the team which won the gold in the mixed doubles in CWG in Gold coast recently.
In men’s singles clash, the ae shuttler Srikanth too the final step to the pinnacle of the Badminton world federations rankings as he also made it to the last eight after defeating N Karunaratne of Srilanka.
