TTD is organising the holistic fete of Jyestabisekam in Srivari temple from June2-4 to ensure the longevity of festivities of Abhisekam, Snapana Tirumanjanam etc.
The vaikhanasa Agama tradition also called Abhidayaka abisekam is observed during Jyesta nakshatra of jyesta ninth every year at the Kalyana Mandapams of the Srivari temple.
On Day-1 the utsava idols of Sri Malayappaswami and his consorts were offered Homas, Abhisekam and panchamruta snapana thirumanjanam and later paraded in full decorations and ornamentation.
On Day-2 the utsava idols are paraded in pearl dressing and with gold dressing on the third day. These gold covers are retained on the utsava idols till Jyestabisekam next year.
In view of the three-day fete TTD has cancelled all arjita Sevas like Kalyanotsavam, unjal Seva and Arjita Brahmotsavam on June 4 and the Tomala and Archana Sevas are performed in Ekantam.
TTD is organising the annual float festival ( Teppotsavam) of Sri Padmavati temple, Tiruchanoor from May31-June 4 where in Sri Padmavati will ride the float in the evening on all five days and bless devotees.
Legend says that Sri Padmavati aka Aluvelu Mangamma will Accept Panchatantra Agama pujas on all five days and ride a float in the Padma Sarovar every year from Jayesta shudda Ekadasi to Pournami.
