Global Academy for badminton in partnership with Knock Out Wellness Labs LLP (a sister concern of Franchise India) has been launched by India’s one of the most successful doubles players Jwala Gutta today. Jwala, an Arjuna awardee and who also won India proud on many ocassions with her fantastic performances will be mentoring the badminton players at the academy, which is going to be opened in April in Hyderabad.

Talking to the media at a press conference held at Hitech Novetel premises, the badminton star of India said, “As a player I have enjoyed my career and am very happy with progress of the game over the years in India. There are academies in India, but not of great quality at all places. In Hyderabad I am sure we will have healthy competition, and we will do our best to produce champions. Mohd Arif and Govardhan Reddy will be looking after the children and I shall be mentoring too, using all my international experience. When it comes to coaching I openly say there can not be anyone better one than Mohd Arif. The list of champions he has produced over the years speaks for itself. His passion is still continuing. We will be hiring some others from different places to see everybody trains under seasoned coaches. And I am happy to be a partner and brand ambassador of Global Academy for Badminton.”

Mohit Verma, co-owner, Knock Out Welness mentioned,“We are really delighted to associate with Jwala Gutta to launch this academy and I am sure her tremendous international experience will be of a great help. Our main focus will be on identifying talent at a very early age and we are also planning to expand to Delhi, Bangalore, Mumbai and Kolkatta. By the end of this year we will have 50 centres and the total investment will be around 20 crores as we will be providing international facilities.”
