June 21st the day Kaleshwaram Project has been launched will remain as a letter day in the History of Telangana said K Tarakarama Rao the working President of the TRS party.
Quoting various newspaper articles KTR tweeted that the project has been done in a record 3 years time.
KTR said that it a boon for the farming community of Telangana and that they need not wait of the rains any more.
The water for irrigation will reach for more than 20 districts apart from quenching the thirst of Hyderabad. The industries en route Godavari in the different district can also use the water from Kaleshwaram.
190 TMC of water will be lifted to a length of about 1832 kilometres. Initially, 2 TMC will be drawn on a daily basis and then it would increase to 3 TMC. This is the worlds largest multistage lift irrigation scheme. The world is looking at the project and it is an engineering marvel.
