TRS MP Joginapally Santosh Kumar planted saplings here as part of World Environment day today. Many MPs and law makers also planted saplings on the call given by Santosh Kumar.
Santosh is planting the saplings under the program Green India Challenge. He was inspired by a program called Haritha Haram introduced by the CM K Chandrasekhar Rao in Telangana where forests have been recreated again.
Earlier as part of the program one crore sapling program on the eve of the Birthday of KCR the CM of Telangana.
There is an overwhelming response for the call given by Santosh to the people of the state for planting one crore saplings in one hour.
The program was called the Kotivruksharchana. People from across the world are participating in this program.
This is being done as part of the Green India Challenge where around 6 crore saplings have already been planed by the people. This itself is a big record.
Sapling were planted in the vicinity of Parliament buildings also by MPs under the leadership of Santosh Kumar the TRS MP. Celerities from all walks of life are participating in this program.
Most of them are planting saplings to protect the environment in general on the call given by Santosh Kumar.
