Does Jayalalithaa Amma know about demonetization? Some people close to her say she was kept in dark about the outside developments as he was recovering slowly from bad health.

A source close to Jayalalithha said that she has been shifted to a special room, so that she can be briefed about the daily developments and on the issue of balck money and the currency ban also. While some of them say that the issue of black currency has been taken care of by her close confidants. There reports that huge amounts of money has already been disbursed by the top rung of the party to women cadres and most of the money has already been silently deposited in the Jan dhan accounts.

Since there is already more than one month time the issue of old notes may not be a big problem for Jaya it is reported.
Amma J Jayalalithaa was shifted to a special room from the intensive critical care unit at Apollo Hospitals in Chennai .

The room, on the second floor (same as the critical care unit), is a personalised one which would have the facilities of an intensive care unit, including respiratory support, a senior doctor said.

“It’s a step down intensive care unit, a kind of bridge between the intensive care unit and special ward or home. Besides ventilation, it is equipped with medicines and equipment for emergency care,” the doctor said. She would continue to be on tracheostomy and so visitors would be restricted.The hospital has personalised a suite to suit Jayalalithaa’s medical requirements. ” She was later put on respiratory support and treated with antibiotics for infection and lung congestion. She was given passive physiotherapy. A team of doctors from the UK and All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi, joined the team of doctors looking after Jaya.
