Former MP Kalvakuntla Kavitha today launched the poster of Jagruthi Bathukamm celebrations to be conducted in UK . The members of the Telangana Jagruthi of the UK met Kavitha in Hyderabad at her residence and explained here about the implementation of the Bathukamma under the banner the Jagruthi.
Today Kavitha released the poster pertaining to the Bathukamma celebrations.
Earlier the jagruthi unit of UK conducted Bathukamm celebrations in 7 areas and this time they would be doing it in 10 places across the UK. Apart from celebrating the bathukamma they would be encouraging the weaver community also.
The organisers will distribute Narayanpet handloom sarees to the participants of the Bathukamma here in UK it is learnt. Kavitha expressed her happiness that the UK unit of Jagruthi was doing a lot for keeping up the traditions of Telangana and especially the bathukamma festival which was started by Jagruthi for a long time.
Suman Balmuri the President of the jagruthi in UK said that this time they are going to celebrate the Bathukamma in a big way. He thanked Kavitha for all the encouragement. Telangana jaruthi General Secretary Naveen Achari was also present here for the occasion.
