There is a talk in the political circles that Jaganmohan Reddy the CM of AP is going to urge Modi to accord permission for the proposed three capitals for the state of Andhra Pradesh.

He is making unprecedented arrangements for the PM public meeting on 12th to show that the people want Visakhapatnam as one of the capitals proposed by him.

The BJP is opposed to three capitals formula they are supporting the Amaravathi agitation.

The state BJP leadership is of the view that Jagan Mohan Reddy might take PM Modi’s visit as an advantage to push his agenda and highlight the need to make Visakhapatnam the executive capital.

If the PM makes any commitment to Visakhapatnam, it would be politically disadvantageous to the state BJP which has been supporting Amaravathi.

The State BJP leadership is learnt to be lobbying in New Delhi to get the public meeting cancelled and restrict Modi’s programmes.

The TDP is said to be of the view that Modi’s public meeting might bring the YSRC closer to the saffron party national leadership, which will affect its plans to forge an alliance with BJP and Jana Sena combine in future.
