Actor Jackie Shroff has undergone a screen test for the role of legendary actor Sunil Dutt in Sanjay Dutt’s biopic but is yet to sign on the dotted line. The Rajkumar Hirani helmed project will see Ranbir Kapoor playing the lead role and Jackie will be seen as his father Sunil Dutt. For this Ranbir kapoor is losing weigt and trying to get into the shoes of baba.
“I did the look test for the role of Sunil Dutt sahab.Its big thing for me that they thought of me for this role. It’s a difficult role to play. I will try not to look like him. I will try to follow his mannerisms,” Jackie told.”I have met Sunil Dutt on a couple of occasions. The first time I met him was at his place when Baba as Sanjay Dutt is fondly called introduced me. It was a casual, normal conversation between us,” he said.
The “Hero” actor reveals that Hirani shared his look test, photos with Sanjay and the latter loved it.As per media reports, superstar Aamir Khan and megastar Amitabh Bachchan were too approached for the senior Dutt’s role but did not take up the offer. Although Jackie is yet to sign the role but according to him, if all goes well referring to his selection he will begin shoot from January next year.
Currently, the 59-year-old actor is busy with Ram Gopal Varma’s “Sarkar 3” which stars Big B in the lead role. The project is being planned as a very prestigious one and with a good budget. Sanjay that after coming from the Jail is yet to make a movie and he is looking forward for this movie where it would depict the real Sanjay where the real truth and cirucumstances would be depicted in detail. Ofcourse Baba will be made a hero there is no doubt about it.
