J and K reorganisation bill pass in Lok Sabha

The Parliament today has passed the J and K reorganisation bill and also the amendment bill. Yesterday it was passed in Rajya Sabha. The Government has received 366 votes in favour of the bill. The bill got an overwhelming majority in the Lok Sabha. 66 MPs said no to the Bill.

Minister for Home AmitShah has proposed that the bill may be passed for the development of J and K and the same has been passed. This is for the bright future of the state he said.

Jammu and Kashmir have now become the Union territory with Assembly. This is a historic decision for the welfare of the people Amit Shah stated. Now all the articles will be applicable for the Jammu Kashmir as the 370 article has been repealed.

After 7 decades the special status of the J and K has been removed.

4 Amendments have been made to the constitution for the governance of J and K. Laddakh has been made as the Union Territory according to the wish of the people.

The opposition, however, opposed the move of Amit Shah. But the Home Minister continued his presentation and saw to it that the Bill was passed in the Rajya Sabha.
