The Opposition is very serious about the way the ruling party is arresting the leaders in the name of liquor scam just before the elections. Kavitha in Telangana and Kejriwal in Delhi have been arrested by the ED for the alleged involvement in the liquor gate.
“Fight your critics in the electoral battle, confront them boldly and, of course, attack their policies and working style — this is democracy.
But in this way, using the power of all the institutions of the country to fulfil one’s political objective and weakening those by exerting pressure is against every principle of democracy,” Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra said in a post in Hindi on X.
Delhi BJP president Virendra Sachdeva said the liquor scam started in Delhi in 2021-22 and one revelation after another exposed how corruption took place and money was laundered.
Now the CM of Delhi and also the deputy CM are in the police custody. It is likely that Kavitha will be made to sit in front of Kejriwal and questioned on the 100crore bribe.
There is a talk that Kavitha could have spilt the beans and that was the reason Kejriwal has been taken into custody. The opposition is supporting Kejriwal and calling the arrest a political Vendetta by the Modi Government.
