Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR) has been unanimously re-elected as the President of the ruling Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS). Returning officer Home Minister announced that KCR has been elected as the party president again.
Soon after his election, KCR will speak about his commitment to all-round development of the new state and will list out achievements of his government.
The announcement about KCRs re-election was made at the party’s office before the meeting held on 21st here at Kompally.
There are no other contenders and the announcement was made by Home Minister N Narasimha Reddy, who is the returning officer for the election. 20th was the day for withdrawals.
The day-long event of plenary is being seen more as a show of strength by TRS, which had made massive arrangements for the grand programme .
The party sought to showcase the Telangana traditions and culture at the venue, while a wide variety of state’s delicacies will bee served to the delegates.
Proving the nay-sayers wrong, the TRS government has been able to fulfil all the key election promises, including loan waiver for farmers, and increased social security pensions to senior citizens, women and the disabled. Now KCR has announced free fertlisers to the farming community.
