The next ten days its all Bhakti in the air in Telugu states. People have performed Ganesh Pooja with small and big Ganeshas across Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. This is the first big festival for Telugu people leading to many other festivals in the year. It is the most auspicious day and many of them would start various new ventures and businesses in the name of Ganapathi the Lord who removes the obstacles.
Ganeshas of various forms and designs have been installed on the pandals across the twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad. Some are to be installed this evening. Khiatabad Ganesha, as usual, is the bada Ganesh here in Hyderabad like the Lal Bagh Ka Raja in Mumbai.
The Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao is supposed to visit the Knahiratabad Ganesha later and perform Puja. Governor Narasimhan will also visit Khairatabad Ganesha. There are rumours that Narasimhan would be shifted or it could be thank you for his career.
On the other hand, the GHMC authorities are making huge arrangements for the immersion process of Ganesh idols across the cities. Artificial water bodies and tanks have been created for the same. The Tankbund on the other hand at Liberty is also being spruced up for the Nimajjan process here. Cranes are being mounted as the Nimajjan would be done from the third day followed by the next alternative days and finally with the Maha procession on the 10nth day.
