People are celebrating Diwali this time with election Hungama. As the people are gearing up to celebrate Diwali with sweets and crackers, the political parties are also going around the people greeting for Diwali.
For the JDS party, it is real Diwali out there as they have won 3 out of 5 seats that they have contested in Karnataka. There is news that some of the aspirants are distributing sweets and crackers for Diwali.
Since distributing money is not feasible they are trying to lure the voters in the form of gifts. Gifts of all kinds are being distributed by the candidates and prospective candidates in all forms.
Some are giving sarees also for the women in the name of Diwali. The Mahila groups are taking the responsibility of distribution to the voters and they are campaigning also.
But there is the restriction on sales of crackers in some places. The GHMC and other state governments are implementing the order of bursting crackers for just two hours in the night.
The sale of crackers has come down in many states drastically it is reported. However, the sale of sweets, diyas and other decorative material is good.
Modi the PM has given a call that one must give the business to the poor and needy and not go for the big shops in doing the Diwali purchases. Its a bad Diwali for BJP as Rafales are chasing them and they lost the elections in Karnataka miserably.
