NTR the biopic is not doing as expected. The euphoria is coming down slowly. It is not a flop. At the same time, NTR is not a big hit as predicted and expected. Both overseas and also in India the movie NTR Kathanayakudu is running on an average basis. Krish Jagarlamudi the director has done his best in the possible time. Showing the life and times of NTR in just 2.5 hours time is not that easy. But still, there is some drag. Wherever Sumanth is there as Akkineni Nageshwara Rao, he stole the thunder from NTR.
More than Balakrishna for NTR, Sumanth suited well for ANR.
But one must see the movie for knowing about NTR and his life. With two more movies in the pipeline, the NTR collections may drop further. Vinaya Vidheya Rama of Boypati Srinivas from Ram Charan and F2 with Venkatesh are coming before Sankranthi. One is a mass masala and the other is a comedy.
They will be interesting before Sankranthi. NTR screenplay is flat and sometimes dull also. You won’t see NTR in all the frames of Balakrishna. But no other actor could not have done to this extent. On the other hand, NTR is already being circulated outside in pen drives and people have started watching it on laptops and home theatres. It is available outside.
We have to see how the second part Mahanayakudu will do at the box office. People in Telugu states will be interested in the Political episode. They would like to see how Chandrababu has been portrayed in the movie. They will also look for the Lakshmi Parvathi episode. But it is learnt that there is no Balakrishna and Lakshmi Parvathi role in the movie.
