The third meeting of the opposition group INDIA will take place in Mumbai on August 31 and September 1, said Maharashtra Congress leader Nana Patole.
Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Sanjay Raut said Uddhav Thackeray will host visiting opposition leaders, including five chief ministers, for dinner on August 31.
We have to see if AAP leader Kejriwal will attend the meeting or not. The BRS and MIM are not in the INDIA group and BRS will be contesting around a hundred seats this time at the National level.
The meeting holds more prominence after Rahul Gandhi got the MP position back in the defamation case over his Modi surname remark, restoring his status as an MP.
Nana Patole added, “Sharad Pawar and Uddhav Thackeray are with us and that is important. Three parties (NCP, Congress, Shiv Sena (UBT)) are together.
The two-day deliberations, which will be held at Grand Hyatt in the suburbs, will begin in the evening of August 31 and will continue on September 1.
The BRS and MIM are not with the INDIA group. The minority vote will not go for Opposition and they will get split between the BRS and INDIA group.
This is a clear advantage to the BJP.
