The BJP has won almost all the elections in India after the PM announced the demonetisaton. But that does not mean the BJP will win all the Assembly elections coming in the near future in 5 states.
Some election surveys have given absolute majority for the BJP, but the situation may change in the course of time. The people will teach a lesson to Modi, the opposition headed by Rahul Baba thundered, but so far nothing has happened.
The elections in Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Goa and Manipur – can in fact be called as referendum and March 11nth will give us an in sight into the future of leadership in India.
BJP expected a two thirds majority in Delhi and Bihar, but the people reacted in a different manner. Poll predictions and the aspirations of the people will not come true always. The out come of the channels and agencies depends on the sample size that they have collected. The opinions will change from time to time.
But the internal bickerings in the SP, the fued between the son and father have raised the hopes of BJP. Earlier the BJP was in trouble with the effect of demonetisation, but the situation in UP looks like it is advantage BJP for the time being. The Congress is yet to take a stand and is still groping in the dark waiting for Priyanka and some mircale to happen.
While local issues influence the local vote, the demonetisation will effect all the 5 states in a uniform manner. The BJP has to look into this issue first. BJP leaders claim Modi has created a ‘pro-poor’ image for himself by taking an ‘anti-rich’ position.
“It should benefit us in election as we pass new milestones, winning over new social groups. The BJP and the Congress will be in a direct contest in Uttarakhand and Manipur. Goa and Punjab will have triangular contest between NDA,
Congress and AAP, and Uttar Pradesh a four-cornered fight.
The poor have suffered but they did not speak against the BJP or Modi. They took the pain . One has to see how they will react during the voting for the 5 states.
