TRS leader and former MP K Kavitha said that the BJP government has taken a historic decision by repealing article 370. She also said that while some political parties have supported the reorganisation bill of Jammu and Kashmir, Kavitha is hopeful that the people of the valley will remain in peace and lead a life of prosperity.
It may be noted that Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke to the Chief Ministers of several states and also leaders from stats to support it. TRS,TDP,YSRCP, AAP, have supported the bill.
From now on Jammu- Kashmir will come under the constitution and it will also have an Assembly but under the Union Territory. Laddakh will just be a union Territory with no Assembly.
The Article 370 has been repealed by the Presidential order and later a bill was moved by the Minister for Home in the parliament. Now the discussion is on over the reorganisation bill in the parliament.
Now there is no clarity if Jammu and Kashmir would be divided into two states. Laddakh will be a Union Territory that is clear.
