The defence deals are always watched with a suspense by the opposition. The Congress party lost the power due to Bofors deal. Chitra Subrahmanaym the daughter of BJP MP Subrahmaniam broke the news of Bofors in the Hindu and finally the Congress lost the power.
Now in the NDA Regime which claims as scam free government is in trouble with the Raffaele plans deal. They are fighter planes and the BJP government under Modi has given the contract to the Reliance company which relatively has no experience in this field. Reports indicate that they dont even have any land when they were awarded the contract.
The old Defence minister Parrikar and the present Minister Nirmala Sitharaman do not have enough details on the purchase of Raffaele fighter planes and also the contract that has been awarded to the Reliance in this connection.
Reliance was also in soup along with the Government when they awarded an outstanding certificate to a University floated by Reliance which did not have any land registered for the same.
The BJP government is coming scrutiny for favouring Reliance out if the way in several contracts. Even after the purchase of Raffaele’s the defence ministers old and new did not know all the details and it was worked out between the heads of the heads of the two countries.
Now it is time that Modi the PM comes clean over this purchase. More than 30000 crores is involved in this purchase it is reported. The Government could be in trouble for taking the Raffaele’s.
