With the Lockdown starting at 10 AM people who have come out for purchases started rushing back home and all the streets and chowrasthas were jam-packed.

The police had a tough time in sending the people back home and maintain the said lockdown. People who are fasting and coming out for the festival purchases are very unhappy with the lockdown.

May 14 is the Ramzan festival. Some people who were coming out for the Vaccination were also sent back home by the police. The police had to forcibly close the shops at around 10 am this morning.

Some police at the level of constables were seen collecting money and also water bottles apart from food packets for keeping them open for some more time.

However, the shops in the lanes and bylanes were also kept open. It has to be seen how far the Lockdown can be implemented on Eid. It has to be seen if people will be allowed for the evening Prayers in the Masjid during the Lockdown period.

But on the whole, the streets were deserted on Wednesday and the impact of the lockdown was felt. People who suggested the weekend lockdowns now suggested that there should be no lockdown on Sundays.

But one thing is that the announcement of lockdown by the KCR Government has taken the people by surprise.
