Ahead of the Assembly elections, The IT sleuths raided the house and office premises of Chennur Congress candidate G Vivek It may be recalled that the MP, who is also a prominent businessman, quit the BJP recently and joined the Congress party.
Early on Today, searches began at the former MP’s premises in Hyderabad and Mancherial. Different teams of I-T sleuths carried out searches at his houses. Simultaneous searches were also held at his offices.
He runs Visakha Industries and also has a cement factory. He went for a public issue in his earlier business career.
The I-T raids came just two days after the Hyderabad police froze Rs 8 crore RTGS done by his company, Visaka Industries.
