Director Puri failed again. He could not create any double impact withthe movie iSmart-2.
It is like more of a hype and less of substance. It is like just another mass masala and not at all gripping we can say. The josh ismissing. The music is ok. It might recover the money invested.
The presence of Sanjay Dutt is not that evident. Puri could not utilise him properly.
On the whole, Double iSmart struggles to live up to the hype of its predecessor, iSmart Shankar. Despite Ram Pothineni’s commendable efforts, his talent feels underutilised. The plot has potential, but the execution falls short, especially in the dragging second half.
Kavya Thapar’s presence is minimal, and Ali’s comedy track fails to deliver laughs.
Sanjay Dutt’s portrayal as the villain comes across as just another routine bad guy. The ladies’ presence is just ornamental.
You will not miss anything if you don’t see it. It looks like Puri the director is in a hurry to make a comeback.
