Anupam Kher who has done the role of former PM Manmohan Singh said that it was the best work during his lifetime and said that the movie has all the qualities for Oscar nomination. The Congress leaders who wanted a screening of the movie and protested against the movie have backed off. They said no need of a preview now. They do not want to give undue publicity to the movie by giving a call to ban the movie.
The BJP has supported the movie and opined that it was a true depiction of the role of Manmohan. The movie is based on the book written by Sanjay Baru the then Press secretary of the PM. But Anupam Kher said that he will not back off seeing the protests. Saying that he has given a stellar performance he opined that it deserves the Oscar nomination.
Now the Congress has no objection the movie is ready for release. People say that the Former Pm Manmohan Singh could be depicted as rubber stamp PM guided by the Gandhi family.
