The communications satellite GSAT 6 has lost contact with ISRO which is being seen as a major set back to the operation. The last posting by ISO was on March 30.
When it almost time for the Satellite to take it closer to the Orbit, this communications failure has occurred which was completely unexpected. This was supposed to be the final orbit of the vehicle.
The project costed about Rs 270 crore and it was expected that one can get signals and communicates with the Satellite via handheld devices.
What caused this communication break up is being probed by the Officials it is reported. It was launched successfully from the Sriharikota space research centre.
The officials said that the final position of the SAT6 will be known after some time as the officials are looking into the issue.
