There are rumours that the Government in Karnataka is under threat.

The BJP has moved its MLAs from Karnataka to Delhi and then they have been shifted to a resort. The Congress alleged that 5 MLAs were missing from the group and they are suspicious of horse trading. The BJP leaders have charged that the CM Gowda was trying to break the BJP group to get some MLAs and that was the reason they moved the MLAs. Gowda, on the other hand, clarified that the five Congress MLAs were in touch with him. The BJP has 104 MLAs and the BJP leaders are of the opinion that Kumara Swamy Gowda is trying to split the BJP.

BJP leader Yeddyurappa denied the allegations that the BJP was trying to create an alternative government by stepping up the majority. Yeddyurappa said that the BJP is united and they would like to stay in Delhi for another two days.

Kumara Swamy Gowda

Some BJP lawmakers talking to the media said that they have gathered to strategise for the coming Loksabha elections and have got nothing to do with the state politics. But however, Congress has its own doubts. The Congress MLAs charged that 5 of the MLAs were missing and that the BJP was trying to gain strength and reclaim the Government.

It may be noted that even after being the single largest party the BJP Could not form the Government here in Karnataka. The JDS leader Gowda formed the Government with the help of Congress even after having a small number of MLAs.
